Flat-Topped Steel Gates

AGD was contacted by our repeat customer Prestige Homes with a request for a sliding gate, due to working with this customer before the same style was agreed as previously supplied. The style was agreed to be a flat-topped steel tracked sliding gate galvanised and powder coated in black with dog bars in the bottom third (an extra set of vertical bars in between the main vertical bars).

A video intercom with coded keypad and a monitor in each of the three houses for visitors to make contact for entry was also wanted.

The customer supplied the concrete base to AGD supplied drawings for the gate running track and posts to be bolted down onto, following a week long curing period to the post and track was installed along with ducting and cabling for the various parts and the gate was delivered by crane lorry and craned into place, secured by top rollers and stops installed to prevent it rolling past its posts.

The automatic motor was then installed along with several safety edges on the gate posts due to the gate being open bared to prevent entrapment as safety is paramount. The video intercom was installed and wired to each house to allow visitors to call the colour monitors for access to the site if granted. The intercom also has a colour screen with each house name/number added onto its selection screen.

The gate and access controls were setup, safety tested, force tested, activated with various calls and keypad codes entered to test all access methods. It was then fully demonstrated and handed over to the customer with their information pack, manual release keys and remote controls.

The customers then finished of the entrance with a stone topping to even out the driveway and installed block paving around the gate track area with drainage. Fencing was also installed either side of the gate to secure the site.
