Bow topped steel tracked sliding gate

AGD was contacted by Beaconsfield cricket club with a request for a sliding gate, after many conversations and a site visit a style was agreed and a mockup produced to give a better idea the look of the gate would take in the actual opening.

The style was agreed to be a bow topped steel tracked sliding gate galvanised and powder coated in black with the company name laser cut into sheeting across the front of the gate.

AGD was also asked to supply the groundwork concrete base and power/communication cable trench back to the office, a GSM intercom with coded keypad for visitors to make contact for entry and a number plate recognition camera with digital recorder for automatic entry of authorised vehicles with a timestamped recorded snapshot.

Pre installation preparation

After the entrance was closed off the AGD installation team began by scanning the ground to identify any services before excavating the trench for the concrete base and cable run back to the office. This was then shuttered, the track and posts fixed into place and filled with concrete. The cables were laid into the cable trench, marker taped and back filled.

Following a weeklong curing period, the gate was delivered by crane lorry and craned into place onto the track, secured by top rollers and stops installed to prevent it rolling past its posts.

Access Control and Operating System

The automatic motor was then installed along with safety edges due to the gate being open bared and some mesh fencing covering the motor. A GSM intercom was installed to allow visitors to call a pre-programmed number for access to the site along with a number plate recognition camera to allow automatic opening of the gate when a preprogramed number plate is recognised.

The installation team also installed a digital recorder to capture a snapshot picture of the recognised entry vehicle with a date and time stamp in the office connected to the onsite computer for adding and removing number plates.
Our team also laid the customers supplied hard-core stone topping to even out the driveway of existing ruts etc.

Access Control and Safety Testing

The gate and access control were setup, safety tested, force tested and activated with various calls, vehicle entries and keypad codes entered to test all access methods.

It was then fully demonstrated and handed over to the customer with their information pack, manual release keys and remote controls.
