There are 2 ranges of sliding electric gates, one manufactured from steel and the other aluminium. In these 2 ranges there are several models which are dependent on the opening width and design.
All the Hormann sliding gates are a pre-assembled cantilever design with no ground track required across the opening.
The entire gate is delivered as a door set for openings up to 16 metres wide giving the advantage of a fast turnaround on the installation and very little foundation work required.
No guide rail fitting required and therefore no gate malfunctioning from ice, snow, gravel or heavy soiling.
The electric motors are integrated into the bottom of the beam, not only making an attractive finish but also providing protection from the weather and of course better safety standards with no exposed parts of the motor unlike other drive systems.
Basic electric sliding gate for openings up to 9 metres wide
The Hormann HSS has high quality components for a relatively low investment in a superb and reliable sliding gate for your business premises.
The HSS 160 is for openings up to 7 metres wide and has a bottom beam height of 160mm and depth of 165mm and the HSS 200 is for openings up to 9 metres wide with a bottom beam height of 200mm

A larger profile sturdier gate construction offering very high levels of strength and security.
4 different gate models for this product with the bottom beam profile height varying from 160mm up to 400mm depending on the opening width requirements.
7 standard colours are available as well as special colours on request.
5 self monitoring closing edge safety devices stop the gate instantly with the slightest resistance met and because the gate is so smooth with the leading technology in the roller system the safety is guaranteed.
All electric gates have a manual override in case of a power outage.

An electric sliding gate at almost any size will never have the stresses and strains of hinged gate systems so a sliding gate is a very reliable system for high usage access control in a commercial environment.
