The AGD team was contacted in early March to replace an existing manual timber gate which had begun to rot. The customer wished to replace with a new gate to improve security and add automation whilst retaining privacy and the kerb appeal of the house.

After assessing the location and discussing the customer's preferences, we selected a pair of aluminium swing gates for its extended lifespan and low maintenance needs. Our aluminium gate collection is rot and corrosion resistant, making it excellent for long-term usage in residential circumstances.

 For automation, we installed the DEA GHOST 200 24v automation kit, creating a smooth operating reliable gate system. The automation was configured to operate via standard remote controls, with an additional keypad installed for pedestrian access.

The customer chose a similar design to the original gates they had, finished in anthracite grey to match the automated garage door situated behind the gate system. This gives a nice contrast with our steel posts finished in black. All ground works were completed by AGD systems with original block paving cut back in and finished neatly around the new motor boxes.

Outcome

The project was completed in late May, and the customer received a high-quality automated gate system that met all their needs. The ideal gate is a secure, low-maintenance, aesthetically integrated system that enhances both the property's functionality and kerb appeal.
