Sectional Garage Doors

If you’re looking for sectional garage doors in the UK then it pays to choose a reputable manufacturer. At AGD Systems, we choose to go with Hörmann to ensure quality. Hörmann’s elegant automatic sectional doors open vertically, meaning you have more space both inside and in front of the garage.

Sectional doors fit anywhere, no matter whether your garage opening is rectangular or chamfered, or whether it has a segmental or Norman arch. The other great benefit is that sectional doors are made in standard sizes, meaning it is easy to modernise if you feel the need.

Harmonious overall impression

The harmonious overall impression of a door is the result of many small details. For instance, side frames that, at Hörmann, match sectional doors with white Woodgrain surface as standard (see image at left). For coloured doors and doors with Silkgrain® or Decograin® surfaces, you optionally receive frame covering in the surface and colour of the door leaf. At Hörmann, the fascia panel always matches the door. For a perfect fit.

From Hörmann, you will receive a garage door and side door with accurately aligned, continuous ribbing and panel segmenting (see image at right). The panel transitions are produced accurately and can hardly be seen. This is proof of the high production quality of Hörmann construction components.

Reassuringly secure thanks to the automatic door locking in the operator boom

Uninvited guests barely stand a chance. When the garage door is closed, the door security kit automatically engages in the operator boom stop, locks immediately and is secured against forced opening. In contrast to competing operators, this is a purely mechanical process and thus functions without a power supply.

For your safety, Hörmann automatic sectional doors are tested and certified by the German technical inspection authority TÜV in accordance with the TTZ guideline "Break-in resistance for garage doors".

Weather-resistant long-term protection

The plastic frame shoe protects your door in the long term against potential damage by rust, also in new garages. And, unlike competitor's solutions, it also provides protection in waterlogged situations. The frame shoe encloses the frame in the rust-prone area – only this can offer effective long-term protection. Together with the door's bottom seal, the frame shoe makes a bottom edge that is visually appealing, as well.

Wicket door with trip-free threshold

Sometimes, the small things make a big difference: for example, when you can get your bicycle out of the garage without opening the garage door. You will soon recognize the amenity of a wicket door, especially if it is equipped with a trip-free threshold. Hörmann wicket doors with a stainless steel threshold that is 10 mm high in the centre and and 5 mm at the edges decrease the risk of tripping and make it easy to drive wheels over it.

Wicket doors open outwards and are centred. For doors over 3500 mm in width (M-panelled over 3000 mm), a non-centred version is also possible or required.
