AGD Systems are leading surveyors, suppliers and installers of high quality residential gate systems ideal for the home and driveway. We primarily deal with both swing and sliding gates for residential use however we cater for other markets too.

Swing gates are the most popular type of gate used for residential driveway gates in the UK and AGD Systems have been installing hinged swing gates since 1986.

Sliding gates have experienced a sudden yet deserved soar to popularity as of late. With our wealth of knowledge in residential gates, we have fully embraced the additional safety, security and space-saving qualities a sliding gate offers. Sliding gates also only require one motor so are easier and less expensive to automate. They can also be manufactured to very large sizes in steel and timber.

Where AGD Systems generally differ from other companies is that we strive to ensure the system we specify and install is tailor made to individual requirements and not  just an off the shelf gate and system that doesn't quite achieve the requirements of the household but 'will do'. Most of out steel, timber and aluminium gates are made to order and then the automation equipment is specified along with any simple or complex access control and security controls. We also take the safety on automatic gates very seriously as it is all too easy to leave out safety all together and see disastrous results in the future from misuse of the gates or by accidental operation with obstructions from vehicles or worse still, human beings.

Residential gates are generally only ever constructed from 4 materials - Aluminium, PVC, Steel & Timber.

Aluminium Residential Gates

Aluminium Residential Gates are still fairly new to the electric gates market however their practicality is their major selling point.

Despite possessing the same metallic qualities as steel gates, aluminium gates for the home are much more light weight (roughly a third the weight of steel) which reduces dead-weight and allows for smooth operation. Yet despite this lack of weight, aluminium gates are still very strong.

PVC Residential Gates

PVC Residential Gates are the newest addition to the AGD Systems catalogue.

With a highly durable & protective plastisol coating, the panel facia attracts very little dirt and makes each gate virtually maintenance-free.

Steel Residential Gates

Steel Residential Gates are the most common type of driveway gate for the home that we deal with. Often referred to as 'wrought iron gates', this gate style has proved popular amongst many of our customers.

All of our steel gates are professionally manufactured by skilled craftsmen. Each gate is hot-dip galvanised to prevent future corrosion giving you total peace of mind with regards to future maintenance.

Steel gates can be installed as 'stand alone' units (fixed to steel posts) or can be installed against stone or brick piers with built-in reinforcements for stability.
