An 8 tonne coach hit the gate late one evening when the gate was closed. The following photographs show the minimal damage sustained by the gate:

It can be clearly seen from the first photgraph, that the coach hit the gate with such force that it has pushed it beyond the vertical position. The second photograph shows the small amount of deformation to the vertical bars. The third photograph shows just how strong the foundations and fixings used by AGD Systems are.
The gate was still was able to be moved by the automation, but as a precaution, it was only used manually until repairs were able to be carried out.
The damaged support posts were removed, with a new pair of posts being installed, together with all the safe edges. The gate was then re-commissioned for service.
