Title: Creative Content Editor

Company: Dove Group

Date: July 2017

Salary: £18,500 per annum starting salary

Hours and location: 35 hours per week 09:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday, with some flexibility, starting on a probationary period of three months. There are 20 annual leave days per year plus bank holidays. Based in Wellingborough, NN8 4BH.

Aim: To ensure the continued success of the Dove group of companies as a member of the web support and design team through the production of digital marketing and social media amongst other tasks. The successful candidate will be an excellent writer and have strong communication skills. They will be able to show a passion for ecommerce and technology, and be comfortable creating high-quality, well-written copy to tight deadlines. They will be highly creative, friendly, collaborative and hungry to develop their career in a fast-paced, busy environment.

Responsible to: Managing Director

Relationship with: Web design team, subcontract web design companies, sales staff, source for photos (installations, suppliers)

Main Tasks of the Job:

  • Producing new content written it in an interesting and appealing manner for all of The Dove Group websites.
  • Writing regular 500+ word blogs and posts on all Dove Group websites and social channels that align to our target audience.
  • Responsible for contributing to the Dove Group Social Media channels, specifically Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn
  • Writing Case Study content for The Dove Group website
  • Communicating to the existing and new customers, on features new products, offers and incentives via email campaign. Using multiple channels including MailChimp on a regular basis
  • Ensuring that every word of copy published by The Dove Group across our marketing emails, blog posts, websites and third party sites is 100% accurate, completely perfect in terms of grammar and punctuation
  • Becoming the “voice” of the Dove Group brands, and developing the tone and copy style we use to communicate our core proposition and values

Requirements:
Successful candidate in the role of Content Editor will possess the following attributes:
Have impeccable copywriting skills, with an excellent grasp of written English language and a high standard of attention to detail. Be an excellent communicator, skilled in taking complex information and communicating it in an easily-understandable way to a broad audience. Possess strong research skills. Being given a new topic, becoming an expert in that topic and producing brand new content around that topic is something that stimulates the candidate’s mind and motivates greatly. The ability to thrive in a versatile and dynamic team environment. Possess a basic understanding of HTML, CSS and Photoshop.

Whilst training will be given a degree of initiative, discipline and organisational skill is expected.

Title: Sales Executive

Start date: November 2016

Salary, bonus and commission: To be discussed.

Hours and location: Full time 40 hours per week, based on office hours. 20 annual leave days per year. Based in Wellingborough, NN8 4RJ with site visits as required. Initial probationary period of 3 months.

Aim : To increase the company market share by the successful negotiation and sales of automatic gates and related products, by pro-active selling and effective follow-up procedures. Generate new accounts and increase company profit.

Responsible to: Brian Dove

Relationship with: Surveyor, Admin, Other sales staff, suppliers, Operations, Procurement, Fitters.

Main Tasks of the Job:

  • Successfully negotiate profitable sales of supply only, or supply & installation of automatic gates and related products
  • Respond to fresh enquiries, create business and manage ongoing accounts, quote and follow up by email, telephone and other means of communication whilst maintaining correct records
  • Liaise with other staff
  • Occasionally meet clients on site
  • Take part in sales and marketing meetings and discussions, offering positive contributions
  • Remain flexible on hours to fulfil the role of achieving and over-achieving target whilst keeping customers happy.
  • Accurately assess the cost of goods, installation and other goods required to be able to build in the right amount of profit for each sale.
  • Use a computer and possess numeric literacy for emails, tablets, quotations, CRM system, calendar
  • Specify the product accurately for procurement
  • Possess a full UK driving licence
  • Previous knowledge of gates, entry systems and their automation is required.
  • Good ground work knowledge and the ability to survey is essential.

Title: Installations Engineer

Start Date: Immediate

Job Type: Full-time Basic

Salary: Negotiable

Required education/experience: Provide evidence of recent installations experience fitting FAAC, BFT, CAME or any other entry phone system

Additional qualifications: Any automatic gate and entry system related certification, CSCS Skilled worker card

Required licence or certification: Full clean driving license

Role: Working as team leader you will be directly responsible to your team in order to facilitate the installation, repair or maintenance of automation systems for gates and entry systems domestic and industrial, carry out inspections, service and maintain and complete any necessary paperwork as required.

Hours and location: Full time, 40 hours a week. You may be required to work overtime when authorised and as necessitated by the needs of the business. Annual leave is 20 paid days per year, plus public holidays. Work is based at Stewarts Road, Wellingborough, NN8 4RJ, England.

Remuneration: Salary is to be discussed at point of interview. Wages will be paid monthly on or before the 27th of each working month. If you are authorised to work in excess of 40 hours per week you will be paid overtime. There will be an initial probationary period of three months. You will receive any extra training according to requirements.

Responsible to: Contract Co-ordinator

Relationship with: Installations Manager, Director, Head of Operations, other Installation Engineers, Warehouse staff, Spares Department, Sales Staff, Surveyors, Sales administrator, Receptionists

Main Tasks of the job:

  • Prepare ground and opening on site for electric entry system, working with electricity, cabling and remote control automation
  • Remove existing products as required
  • Be capable of lifting heavy products with adequate care
  • To install gates, barriers and entry phone systems to a high standard and leave area clean and tidy
  • Fill in paperwork as required.
  • To maintain and repair above products when required.
  • To assist in other departments as required.
  • To work the required hours, remain punctual and presentable at all times.
  • You need a full clean valid UK driving licence

Job Title: Surveyor

Hours: Based on a 40 hour week, flexible Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday between 8.30am and 5.30pm and evenings, with time in lieu. To report to showroom/office at NN8 4BH as required, however most of the time is spent surveying for prospective customers.

Package: OTE of around £30,000 Basic salary of £23,000 per annum paid monthly Bonus scheme. Company vehicle, mobile phone and tablet. Holidays are 20 days per annum plus bank holidays.

Main Purpose of Job: To survey, when required, products being sold by The Garage Door Centre Limited, reg no. 03053431 and Samson Industrial Doors Limited reg no. 03584961 which includes Samson Awnings as a trading name, or any member of the Dove Group of Companies, then specify the correct product and equipment required.

Responsible to: Head of Sales

Responsible for: Prepare a full survey and spec of the existing opening or area of building where any relevant product will be installed, to allow for and catalogue intrusive objects such as meters, doors, joists, beams, cracks, and any other impediment. This requires precise measurement, accurate documentation, mathematics ability, some IT knowledge and a full catalogue of accurate photographs. Your diary will be filled on your behalf.

Liason with: Sales people, Receptionists and Administrator, Prospective Customers, Installation department.

Main Tasks of Job:

  • Measure and specify correctly as required.
  • Take photographs of all relevant areas and pass back to the sales team through internet or otherwise.
  • Present an excellent front image to the prospective customer on behalf of the Dove Group of companies, showing politeness, punctuality, smart dress, and a clean cut, professional image; this applies to both you and your vehicle.
  • Maintain your files, images of the openings to be surveyed, survey forms and all equipment to a high standard.
  • Return your surveys within 24 hours of carrying them out
  • Should you be held up due to circumstances beyond your control, immediately contact your administrator and the customer to inform them and re-arrange accordingly.
  • Assist in sales when there is not a survey booked for you.
