Client Brief:To provide automated hardwood gates with remote control hand transmitters.
Main purpose for security and privacy, also for vehicle access to garage area.
These beautiful Weston Bow Top style gates have been traditionally constructed from West African hardwood. It has received two or three coats of Sadolin Stain to match other timber work around the property.
The automation kit installed is the reliable heavy duty FAAC 770 electro mechanical underground units.
The block work drive surface had to carefully lifted and neatly re-laid to allow a service duct to be installed between the brick piers.
AGD Systems installed their own special design heavy duty adjustable hinge sets and motor adaptor shoes – all finished in satin black top coat paint.
The gates are operated via hand held transmitters in the semi-automatic mode to allow access to the rear parking area. The weatherproof enclosure seen here on the right hand brick pier houses the control board, radio receiver/decoder and antennae.
Safety equipment installed consists of photocell beams fitted in front and between the solid round topped timber gate posts.
AGD Systems carried out the whole installation including the civil works and power supply requirements being taken from a nearby garage. Our sister company The Garage Door Centre also carried out an upgrade to the existing sectional garage door by installing a new electric operator kit.
