Automatic Vehicle Barriers

Client Brief:

To provide a vehicle management system to a busy large commercial premises. Seperate in and out entrance lanes to be controlled indepedently

Description:
Automatic Vehicle Barriers

Location:
Wellingborough, Northamptonshire

Traffic management made easy! The automatic barrier system was installed by AGD Systems for a large commercial organisation requiring management of traffic entering and exiting the large car park.

Here we have specified the superior quality FAAC 640 hydraulic rising barrier system which is suitable high frequency multi user sites.

All civil works such as the concrete foundation bases, ductwork and power supply requirements was carried out by the main contractor leaving a straight forward installation for AGD to complete. AGD Systems completed the installation by bolting down the pre assembled barrier housing to the metal foundation mounting plate and connecting up the various power and control cable requirements. The large white and red striped aluminium booms are seen here with lower pedestrian skirts and fixed end supports.

Safety is covered by induction loop detectors to either side of the boom ensure that no vehicles are accidently hit should they remain over the loop detector. The FAAC 640 hydraulic motor units have a an additional safety feature with the built in anti-crush by pass valve.

Vehicle entry is controlled by means of a voice intercom which allows the entry barrier to be operated from the office reception. Vehicle exit is via an underground induction loop detector.
