This large sliding tracked gate system installation was carried out on behalf of a local logistics company in the town of Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.
The key requirements were security and to allow large vehicles to enter & leave safely.
The gates were constructed from robust steel box section frame members over cladding with heavy duty triple pointed zinc galvanised palisade vertical infills. The gates are fully supported in the open and closed positions by heavy duty galvanised steel support posts. The gate runs along a special ground mounted track fixed to the concrete drive surface.
The gates are automated using a heavy duty sliding gate motor which is controlled by a timer device that allows the gates to open in the morning and close again at night. This enables visitors and firms with many delivery vans free entry and egress during normal business hours. Out of hours the gates can be operated by hold-open key switch or remote control hand sets by authorised persons.
All civil works, ducting and power supply requirements were provided by others with AGD Systems installing and commissioning the gate system and access control equipment.
